Welcome to my mountain lookout, I’m Hawk Donovan.
I’m happiest outdoors with a camera ready. Most days you’ll find me out in the wild, chasing fog and sunrise, hiking high trails, or simply watching the light shift over the mountains. I photograph raw nature and open spaces in a simple, story-driven way. Less polished perfection, more authentic atmosphere and raw moments.

My landscape work is about capturing the feeling of a place — the quiet mornings, changing weather, remote trails, mountains at golden hour, and all the little moments that make being outdoors feel real.

The wildlife I photograph is never staged or lured. I’m more interested in quiet encounters, natural instincts, and creating images that feel wild, patient, and truly untamed.

The subjects I photograph are never asked to smile. I’m more interested in quiet observations, genuine expressions, and creating images that feel intimate, true, and present.
